Worms Reloaded Q and AThankyou for all the questions posed over the last few days, I'm really pleased to see the enthusiasm for this game and I hope that we can deliver what you want.First let me tell you about our plans for the game. Imagine that Worms Reloaded is just the start of the project and not the end. By that I mean that we intend to support this game for a long time to come and that means engaging with the community and where possible giving what the community wants for the game. So I am sure that there will be lots of things that people may not like or would like to see added. Once the game is out, we want to discuss in detail what we can do to make the game even better than we think it is already. For example, when WR launches it won't have a speech bank editor, but if the community wants one (I know I do) then we will sort it out.The burning issue seems to be one over price, both if the game is worth it and the pricing policy. I asked one of the directors for their comments on this and this is what I got."It’s important to understand that this game contains a lot of content above and beyond its console cousins (landscape editor, importer, lots of custom content, forts, all DLC, Steamworks support and more). For anyone pre-ordering, we have already added additional content even beyond this and offered a 10% discount. With regards the UK pricing, Team17 have introduced an opportunity to buy 4 copies for the price of 3, which takes the average price of the game bought this way to just £13.49, which we believe to be tremendous value for money given the hours enjoyment the title will provide. With regards to the USA, Team17 have taken the opportunity to grow the title and establish our brand in that region through more aggressive pricing given an extremely competitive PC title marketplace, which is obviously a different marketing/publishing approach."I know that won't please or even appease everyone, but we did want to comment on it rather than just ignoring it.So, let's have a look at some of the points raised.4 Worms per team and 4 teams is what the game will launch with. The main reasoning on this was the length of time it takes in between turns, especially playing online. If you wanted to , when playing locally you could ally 2 teams together to get 8 worms on your team, but we think the game plays a lot tighter this way.Yes there will be a demo, but not until launch day. People will be able to download the demo and then if they like it they can activate the full game without having to download again. At this moment in time, we are not looking to bring older Worms titles to Steam. Of course a lot depends on how popular reloaded becomes and if there is enough demand for the older titles. We won't be unlocking the game any earlier for the simple reason that we are still working on bug fixes.I'm posting a picture on our FB page later today which shows all the pre order content. We've also sent it to Valve, so hopefully they will add it to the game page. (I love the Affro and the Fez)Sorry, no Portuguese or Russian text translations, but both languages have got their own speech banks.Turn time can be set to a maximum of 90 seconds, which should be long enough for everyone. There will be a MAC version, but we haven't started it yet, so it's far too early to talk about it.The landscape editor will allow you to import pictures you have made in a paint package. The max landscape size is currently 2560 X 1280 or the opposite for vertical maps.Yes, the game supports hot seat time, like someone said, it wouldn't be worms if you couldn't do that.Total number of weapons at launch is 48.Yes you can create your own schemes, but I'm sure some of you will want to be able to tinker a little more than we let you at the moment. (This is a good example of ongoing discussions after the game launches)I don't see any reason why we can't add more achievements at a later date for all the achievement ♥♥♥♥♥s out there. You can't customize your weapons at the moment, but again that's not to say you will never be able to do that.I think I've covered a lot of ground there so please use this thread to keep asking questions and remind me of anything important I have missed. Also please remember that the manner in which questions are asked matters a great deal to me.Finally I want to say thank you to all those who have supported us so far, I know I can't wait until the game is out so we can see what this community can become.
